Opening Scene in the Penthouse HQ
Location: SLS Brickell Hotel & Residences, 1300 South Miami Avenue, Miami, FL
“Leela would never turn off her tracker when she’s with a client. Never. Her location is known at all times during an engagement. That’s non-negotiable.”
Commentary: We’ve met them in flashes during episode one, but to open this episode, we get them together for the very first time.
Two vets and the Princess.
This scene is packed, and I’m ashamed to say that it probably feels that way. The goals were to highlight Addy, reveal the team dynamics, and demonstrate that this is no ordinary operation.
These are really talented individuals, and they take protecting Leela very seriously.
Laying a foundation is never glamorous, but this is one of those scenes that will be viewed differently as the reader progresses through the season.
Fun fact: I walked, biked, and train-ed(as in rode the train) all over the city scouting out Team Leela’s HQ. The pics of the exterior building taken here are the real deal, taken by yours truly.
